Academic Support Center

The Academic Support Center serves all Ridgewater students who are serious about raising their grades.

We help students understand and complete their assignments in most subjects.

We also help with:

  • Study Skills: How to be a better student
  • English as a Second Language (ESL)
  • Limited English Proficiency (LEP)
  • Computer Skills
  • Writing
  • Math
  • Resumes
  • More!

We have a staff of professional tutors and student (peer) tutors available on both the Willmar and Hutchinson campuses.

You may make an appointment with one of us, or just walk in. Sometimes tutors are busy or working in classes, so if you walk in without an appointment, you might have to wait. Please bring your books and class notes to your tutoring session. Help us help you!

How to Reach Us

Starting this spring semester, the Academic Support Center will now be located in the main library area and computer lab directly inside the main library entrance. The former Academic Support Center, room L-107, will now be a quiet study and research area. This utilization of space should provide students in the computer lab with additional support from ASC staff while providing a dedicated quiet area. All services will remain unchanged.

Any questions about this new arrangement can be directed to either Jolene Spanier (Peterson) or Audrey Van Beck.

Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
