Graduates of the Ridgewater College - Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) program will have the education and training necessary to respond to these situations. As a qualified and skilled paramedic professional, you will be prepared to work in the exciting, expanding field of Emergency Medical Services.

When a 911 call alerts authorities of an emergency, paramedics are often the first at the scene. Whether it is an automobile accident, a medical emergency, a fire, or some other disaster, the paramedic is responsible to assess a patient’s condition, give appropriate emergency medical treatment, and transport the patient to the hospital. Often, paramedics make the difference between life and death.
