Gainful Employment Report - Early Childhood Education - 16 credit Certificate

NEW - Online 16-Credit Certificate

The Early Childhood Education program at Ridgewater College prepares students to provide developmentally appropriate activities for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. This Associate of Science degree (A.S.) can lead to a Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from Southwest Minnesota State University. The Early Childhood Education A.S. degree provides students with the skills to work in educational settings by studying methods and designing materials needed in the learning process. The B.S. degree leads to a Minnesota Early Childhood license (prekindergarten through grade three).

Students in this major take courses in education and other academic areas such as psychology and sociology. Most of the education classes offered include a related experience in an early childhood program. Some of the courses will use a blended online or web-based format.
